If you have experienced a mental block while developing or reviewing project documents, you are not alone. Often you need to dig deep to push or pull yourself together, especially when leading a project.
Self-motivation for a project manager is a fundamental characteristic as it allows you to be in a better position to achieve results and drive productivity of self and team.
I have found the following 5 steps to get me out of a mental roadblock many times.
- Breakdown large goals into smaller steps.
- Tackle the easier things and celebrate them.
- Surround yourself with positivity.
- Be grateful, practice gratitude and help someone.
- Get at least 7 hours rest to replenish your mind and body.
